Brut. journalist Fatima D. spoke with rising art star Alteronce Gumby about repurposing broken glass in his latest work ahead of his show at the Jeffrey Deitch Gallery in Los Angeles. A graduate of Yale’s prestigious MFA program in art, his work has since appeared in institutions like the National Gallery of Art, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, and The Studio Museum in Harlem. His practice includes painting, ceramics, installation, performance, and film.
